Shorewood, Minn.

Bradley James Meskimen, 47, died unexpectedly on Dec. 3, 2020, at his home in Shorewood, Minn.

Brad was born May 19, 1973, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to James (Jim) and Judy Meskimen. Brad grew up loving sports and graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa. He went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Chiropractic College and owned the successful Lakes Center for Chiropractic. Brad was a loving and patient partner, an amazing dad and a loyal friend. He was passionate about music, sports, boating on Lake Minnetonka, golf and, especially his children and their activities.

The greatest joy of Brad's life was watching and coaching sports for Reece, Raegan and Ross. His favorite memories were the simple things with his kids – playing tennis, boardgames, pulling them on skis and wakeboards. He loved the many adventures he had with his fiancee, best friend and soulmate, Erin Shobe. Brad was really "everybody's friend." He was loved by all and just a truly gentle soul. He had an inclusive personality that made everyone in his presence feel like they were a part of something special. He was quiet with his love, but he loved fiercely. Memories come and go, but the ones with Brad, well they are timeless, because he made them so. Being with Brad you just felt like, at this moment, this is where you were supposed to be.

Brad is survived by his partner, Erin Shobe; children, Reece, Raegan and Ross; stepchildren, Brendan Hobbs (Khalil), Olivia and Amelia Leach; mother, Judy Meskimen; sister, Elizabeth Meskimen-Harris (Joe); niece, Chloe Harris; nephew, Callan Harris; former wife, Wendy Gutknecht (Mike); and so many beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Marshall Meskimen; and father-in-law, Donald Dean Krause Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for the spring. A donation will be made in honor of Brad to Rogers Royals Wrestling and Football. If you would like to donate to the memorial Venmo: wendy-gutknecht; or send check to Wendy Gutknecht, 14941 Juniper Ridge Dr., Ramsey, MN 55303.
