A Red Oak man has been arrested following a go-cart crash that seriously injured his 2-year-old son.
Atlantic radio station KJAN reports that 35-year-old Michael Shawn Soar was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of felony child endangerment and serious injury by vehicle.
Authorities say Soar and his son were riding a go-cart the night of Sept. 5 when it hit a parked car. The toddler was flown by helicopter to a trauma center in Omaha, Neb.
Michael Soar suffered minor injuries and was treated at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 bond.
