Police said they found a mobile meth lab in a hospital parking ramp Wednesday night.
Cedar Rapids police officers were called to the parking ramp at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious subjects. Police said one of the subjects was 31-year-old Rodney L. Schneider, of Cedar Rapids. Schneider had a warrant out for his arrest for violation of a no-contact order, police said. A second subject who was with Schneider was released, police said.
As officers were preparing to tow the vehicle, police said they found items used to make meth. Upon further inspection, police learned meth was being made in the car. Syringes were also located.
