Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Tiffin

TIFFIN — A pedestrian was seriously injured when they were hit by a motor vehicle in Tiffin on Monday morning.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol, authorities responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Deer View Avenue and Jackson Street around 8:05 a.m. Monday. Authorities said a 60-year-old woman was crossing Jackson Street on foot when she was hit by a 17-year-old driver.
The woman — whose name is being withheld — suffered life-threatening injuries, the state patrol said. The state patrol is also withholding the name of the driver. The crash is under investigation.
