North Liberty man accused of stealing more than $50,000 from employer

CORALVILLE - A jewelry store manager is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from his store.
According to A Coralville police criminal complaint, as of Oct. 11, Troy M. Woods, 24, was employed as a manager for the Kay Jewelers store in the Coral Ridge Mall. Police said Woods took merchandise from the store and issued false returns for cash.
Woods' scheme netted him more than $52,000, police said. Woods admitted to the theft and fake returns, police said.

Woods faces one count of first-degree theft, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
