Police are looking for a man involved in a scuffle between co-workers that resulted in a minor stab wound.
Officers responded around 8:30 a.m. Thursday to Worley Warehouse, 3805 Sixth St. SW, when another employee reported the fight. They learned one employee had punched another and then left the area.
Matthew Martin, 28, of Cedar Rapids, told police he and the other worker were moving items into the warehouse, when his co-worker became upset.
"He didn't like how something was done and words were exchanged," Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said.
When Martin went outside for a smoke break, he said the other man punched him in the mouth and pushed him to the ground. Employees had to separate the men. Witnesses told police the man then got into a car and left the business.
Later, Martin realized he had a minor stab wound to his torso. He declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.
Hamblin said investigators would like to talk to the man who drove away. They know his identity, but had not located him by Friday morning. An investigation was continuing.
