Two vehicles sustained heavy damage, and one person was injured in a collision Monday morning in Cedar Rapids.
Police responded around 7:25 a.m. to the crash at Sixth Street and Wright Brothers Boulevard SW, on the southern fringe of the city. The wreckage was still in the intersection.
Officer Robert Murphy said one adult female had a cut on her head and was transported to Mercy Medical Center. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Police said it appeared one vehicle turned in front of the other at the busy corner, but they were still investigating. All lanes were reopened around 8:15 a.m.
