Fire extensively damages Marion garage
Fire erupted in a detached garage in Marion Sunday afternoon, extensive damaging the garage and its contents.
The fire was reported around 5:15 p.m. today at 2780 24th St. Reports indicated that large amounts of black smoke were coming from the garage.
Marion firefighters confirmed there were no injuries, but there was at least one car in the garage at the time of the fire.
The fire also damaged the home on the property, as well as the neighbor's home adjacent to the garage. The neighbor's home appeared to have more damage than the home on the garage's property, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
