CEDAR RAPIDS — In yet another sign that summer is coming to an end, the final Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market is scheduled for Saturday.
The event, organized by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, is being sponsored by Quaker. It runs from 7:30 a.m. to noon
In addition to the more than 200 vendors, offering everything from baked goods and produce to clothing and candles, the event will have a variety of family-focused entertainment. That includes face painting, live performances and other “immersive installations.”
A list of vendors and a map are available at cedarrapids.org.
Pets are allowed at the market, but they must be on a leash.
The Linn County Trails Association will have bike parking/security options in Greene Square for visitors who ride bicycles to the market.
For those who drive to the market, parking ramps will cost $5 to park for the entire day. Free street parking outside the market venue is available on a first-come, first served basis.
