Linn County voters can begin casting ballots Monday for the upcoming Nov. 7 city elections.
In-person absentee voting at the Linn County Auditor's Office — located in the Jean Oxley Public Service Center, 935 Second St. SW. — runs through Nov. 6., according to the Auditor's Office website.
Voters also can request to have absentee ballots mailed to them. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 6.

In addition, Hiawatha voters will have the option to vote at a special satellite location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Hiawatha Public Library, 150 W. Willman St. The satellite location was requested because of the presence of a $1.2 million bond issue on the ballot to help pay for expansion and renovations to the library.
To the south in Johnson County, early voting is set to begin Oct. 18 at the Johnson County Administrative Services Building, 913 S. Dubuque St.
