CR Pride will hold its second annual Pride parade June 10, as part of a day filled with youth-focused activities, according to a news release. The parade is set to begin at 1 p.m. in the NewBo City Market area.

CR Pride was founded in 1992 to increase awareness and inclusivity for LGBTQ+ Cedar Rapids residents. It held Cedar Rapids’ first Pride parade in 2022.

“In times like these, visibility matters, and we have the opportunity to showcase the contributions, and support for the LGBTQIA community in the Corridor,” CR Pride Board President Corey Jacobson said in a news release Friday afternoon.

Parade entries will be accepted until June 3, on the CR Pride website at crprideia.com.
