Attorney General’s office settles lawsuit between ISU, former women’s basketball player Nikki Moody

AMES — The state of Iowa Attorney General's office notified Iowa State University it reached a settlement in a lawsuit filed by former women's basketball player Nikki Moody, the school announced Thursday.
The settlement was filed 14 months ago against Iowa State women's basketball coach Bill Fennelly, the university and the state of Iowa on a basis of racial discrimination. An amount of $60,000 will be awarded to the plaintiff.
Moody will paid $35,619.13 per the agreement, there is no admission of liability by any of the defendants. A trial was set to begin in September. Fennelly was dismissed from the suit in April.
