A look at local, area and former University of Iowa baseball players in the affiliated minor leagues and major leagues

Here is an updated look at how local, Gazette-area and former Iowa Hawkeyes players are doing in the affiliated minor leagues and the major leagues. Statistics are through Friday.
A few players have been added to the list with play in the Rookie-level complex leagues underway. Former Cedar Rapids Prairie grad Scott Schebler recently was released by the Colorado Rockies. The outfielder was nagged by injuries in a career that saw him spend MLB time with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels.
Nick Allgeyer (Iowa/Toronto Blue Jays) — Pitcher has a 2-3 record in 18 games, 12 starts for Triple-A Buffalo. Has a 4.70 earned run average. Spent two weeks last month on the injured list.

Tyler Cropley (Iowa/Kansas City Royals) — Catcher has been at three levels this season, currently with Double-A Arkansas, where he’s hitting .194 in 14 games, with a home run and two RBIs.
Matt Dermody (Norwalk/Iowa/Chicago Cubs) — Has pitched in 18 games, making 12 starts, for Triple-A Iowa. Has 5-3 record and 4.22 ERA.
Jack Dreyer (Johnston/Iowa/Los Angeles Dodgers) — Pitcher’s pro career has gotten off to fine start. Has no record and 1.13 ERA in eight relief appearances for Rookie-level FCL Dodgers, striking out 10 in eight innings.
Nick Gallagher (Iowa City West/Iowa/Chicago White Sox) — Pitcher hasn’t given up an earned run in his five appearances (spanning five innings) since joining low-A Kannapolis. Was picked up by the White Sox after being released by the Cleveland Guardians.
Drew Irvine (Waukee/Iowa/Pittsburgh Pirates) — Is 1-1 with a 1.35 ERA in four relief appearances for Rookie-level FCL Pirates. Has given up five hits in 6 2/3 innings and struck out eight.
Grant Judkins (Pella/Iowa/Oakland Athletics) — Right-handed pitcher has a 2-2 record and 4.66 ERA in 11 games, 10 starts, for low-A Stockton. Has recorded 50 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings.
Mitch Keller (Cedar Rapids Xavier/Pittsburgh Pirates) — Pitched great in a win earlier this week at Miami, going seven innings, allowing five hits, a run, no walks and striking out five for the victory. Is 3-6 with a 4.88 ERA in 17 appearances this season for the Pirates, including 15 starts. Was the scheduled starting pitcher Saturday against Colorado.
Mason McCoy (Iowa/Seattle Mariners) — Has played an everyday infield role for Triple-A Tacoma, hitting .225 in 72 games, with eight home runs, 28 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
Cole McDonald (New Hampton/Iowa/Houston Astros) — Righty pitcher is 1-4 with a 7.90 ERA at high-A Asheville. WHIP is 1.88, but he does have 61 strikeouts in 41 innings.
Robert Neustrom (Sioux City North/Iowa/Baltimore Orioles) — A couple of recent IL stints have cut into his playing time at Triple-A Norfolk. Outfielder hitting .235 in 58 games, with 10 homers and 37 RBIs.
Ben Norman (Des Moines Roosevelt/Iowa/Chicago White Sox) — Outfielder has played 16 games for high-A Winston-Salem since being bumped up there from Rookie ball. Hitting .179 with three homers and nine RBIs with the Dash.
A.J. Puk (Cedar Rapids Washington/Oakland Athletics) — Lefty reliever is 1-1 with a 2.41 ERA in 33 appearances for the A’s. Allowed 29 hits in 37 1/3 innings, with seven walks and 40 strikeouts.
Brady Schanuel (Iowa/Milwaukee Brewers) — Reliever has an 0-1 record and 5.00 ERA in 19 appearances for high-A Wisconsin. Has allowed just 15 hits in 27 innings but walked 28. Has struck out 32.
Scott Schebler (Cedar Rapids Prairie/Colorado Rockies) — The veteran outfielder has been released by the Colorado Rockies organization. He hit .243 in 57 games this season for Triple-A Albuquerque, with seven home runs and 28 RBIs. He hit .265 in 866 career minor-league games, with 124 homers and 473 RBIs. In 394 big-league games, he hit .237 with 61 homers and 167 RBIs.
Connor Van Scoyoc (Cedar Rapids Jefferson/Los Angeles Angels) — Starting pitcher has whittled his ERA at high-A Inland Empire from 8.17 in June to 5.02. Has allowed 70 hits in 75 1/3 innings and struck out 90.
Trenton Wallace (Iowa/Toronto Blue Jays) — Southpaw pitcher recently promoted from low-A Dunedin to high-A Vancouver, where he allowed two hits and a run in four innings in his first start, striking out five. Is 2-1 with a 1.21 ERA overall this season, with 60 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings.
Keaton Winn (Pekin/San Francisco Giants) — Pitcher is 1-3 with a 4.61 ERA in 16 appearances, 14 starts, at low-A San Jose. Has 63 Ks in 52 2/3 innings.
