Before the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds bring Major League Baseball to the Field of Dreams again on Thursday, it was the minor-leaguers’ night in Iowa. The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels 7-2 in the first Minor League Baseball game at the Field of Dreams near Dyersville on Tuesday night.
The teams were wearing special throwback uniforms — the Cedar Rapids Bunnies and the Davenport Blue Sox — for an occasion that was televised by MLB Network.
