CEDAR RAPIDS — Make that four.
Germany announced Tuesday its men’s hockey roster for the upcoming Olympic Games and it includes former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Frederik Tiffels.
He is the fourth RoughRiders alumni to be selected to play in the Olympics, which are Feb. 4-20 in Beijing, China.

Forwards Marc McLaughlin, Andy Miele and Nathan Smith have been selected to play for the United States. McLaughlin is a senior at Boston College, Smith a junior at Minnesota State and Miele a professional player in Russia.
Tiffels, 26, played for the RoughRiders in the 2013-14 season. He played college hockey at Western Michigan, became a draft pick of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, spent one season in their minor-league season and returned home to Germany, where he plays professionally in Munich.
