Cedar Rapids golf courses reopening for the season

CEDAR RAPIDS — Municipal golf courses in Cedar Rapids are reopening for the season.
The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department began the golf season with the opening of Twin Pines Golf Course, 3800 42nd St. NE, on March 15. The course will be open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk.
Cedar Rapids’ miniature golf course, Mini Pines, also has opened for its second season. It will operate daily from 10 a.m. to dusk.

Other courses will open this week. People may visit Gardner Golf Course, 5101 Old Golf Course Rd., starting Tuesday and Ellis Golf Course, 1401 Zika Ave. NW, starting Friday. Both courses will be open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk.
The driving ranges at all golf courses also will also be open and carts will be available as conditions allow. Tee times are available at www.playcedarrapidsgolf.com. Season passes may be purchased online at this website or at the courses after they open.
