Dinner on the Bridge ticket sales start today

CEDAR RAPIDS — If you want to enjoy an elegant candlelit picnic dinner while supporting the Czech Village New Bohemia District, Dinner on the Bridge may be your ticket.
The annual dinner will open up ticket sales today for 50 round tables of 10 people each — a total of 500 seats available.
Tickets will be available for $100 each on Eventbrite when the sale goes live or by calling (319) 432-9785.

The dinner on the 16th Avenue Bridge of the Lions on Thursday, Sept. 9, will start with appetizers and drinks at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served around 7:30 p.m.
If you would like to sit with a specific group, all meal orders must be from the same caterer. To do so, collect the names and emails for all in your group before purchasing tickets.
This year, four caterers will be available for dinner selection, each offering two meal options:
- Amos Dean’s Catering offers slow-smoked beef brisket, elote-style corn, blue cheese and bacon au poivre potatoes with horseradish or Moroccan spiced garden vegetables, Amos Dean’s garden vegetables, lentil tabbouleh, hummus, chimichurri and pickled turnip.
- Anvil Meat Market & Deli offers spinach pesto roasted chicken with rice pilaf and broccoli or vegan spinach cashew ricotta lasagna with steamed broccoli.
- Lion Bridge Brewing offers a choice of pork ribs with IPA peach barbecue sauce or grilled zucchini steaks alongside summer green salad with house vinaigrette and herbed French-style potato salad.
- Peppercorn Food Company offers jambalaya over rice or roasted vegetable tart with an avocado-infused crust.
