CEDAR RAPIDS - Lindale Mall and Waypoint Services, a nonprofit that offers support to women and children in northeast Iowa, are partnering to orchestrate the 2017 Bricks for Kids LEGO Drive. Through the community event, new and gently used LEGO bricks and kits are being collected to benefit those receiving assistance with homelessness, poverty and domestic violence at Waypoint.
Donations of new LEGOs will provide gifts for this year's Waypoint Wonderland, a celebration that provides holiday gifts to families served by Waypoint. Used LEGOs will be used to provide activities for Waypoint childcare residents.
'We are proud to host this year's Bricks for Kids event, as it is a great event serving women and children in northeast Iowa,” said Lindale Mall Marketing Manager Katie Gorman. 'We're happy to accept any donations and look forward to playing a part in making this year's Waypoint Wonderland special for those in our community.”
