The ‘Kim Reynolds Academy’ of school choice

Now that the governor's school choice proposal has been passed by the majority of Republican legislators allowing public money to fund private schools, we may be seeing another school choice for children. Perhaps there will be The Kim Reynolds Academy. Language Arts classes will teach reading skills, but the literature list will be of a limited nature. Sciences classes will be offered, but they may not necessarily be fact-based. Social Studies lessons on history may be whitewashed a little. Math classes will have story problems about funds, where less may not be a negative.
The Academy may require that boys be boys and girls be girls. The Academy will prepare them to be future ready for their diverse environment as the next generation of Iowa educated citizens. There will be so many things for these children to learn, they will probably miss the lesson on sarcasm.
