The Gazette is left-wing?

A recent Gazette community letter suggests that The Gazette has somehow become a tool of the country’s political left wing.

Might it be instead that The Gazette has held fast to the centrist political stance it has maintained for many years, and that the political opinions of some citizens have instead shifted to the right?
