Thanks to Reynolds, Republicans

To the Republican legislators of Iowa and Gov. Kim Reynolds:

Thank you for attacking the most vulnerable in Iowa by promoting hateful legislation to protect us from the threat of transgender and LGBTQ youth.

Thank you for attacking the most vulnerable in Iowa who are struggling to put food on their table and feed their kids.

Thank you for granting more power to the Governor so she can select judges who will follow an extremely conservative agenda.

Thank you for weakening public education and deciding to benefit private/parochial schools that promote only a Christian/extreme conservative agenda.

Thank you for creating legislation that attacks diversity of thought and literacy by restricting access to literature and education that makes people "uncomfortable" (having to deal with the way the world really is and exposure to non-biased history).

Thank you for not promoting legislation to clean up our lakes and rivers which are among the dirtiest in the nation.

Thank you for not addressing the lack of child care in this state.

Thank you for not addressing affordable housing, homelessness, and food insecurity.

Thank you for not addressing the shrinking/dying of the small rural towns in Iowa.

Finally thank you for making this state so much less attractive to our youth which will make their decision to leave Iowa so much easier.
