Show up to vote in the Cedar Rapids mayoral runoff

I was a Hart voter. I had two of his signs in my yard. I felt he had done a good job and with gained experience would do even better. Many apparently didn’t agree.
Now I’m concerned; A handful of voters could elect our mayor if too many feel one of the candidates is the “obvious” choice and don’t vote. They won’t win if everyone “stays home” on Election Day.
I’ve weighed the candidates and made my decision. I have a new sign in my yard. I watched the KCRG 9.2 “discussion” Tuesday evening gaining additional insight into their backgrounds and experience.

I compared what I perceive to be their motivation, drive and plans and my choice hasn’t changed. I wouldn’t try to tell you who to vote for. Each of us has differing opinions and could support discussions on either side.
I would plead with you. Consider which of the candidates is your “favorite” and be sure to vote on Nov. 30. When your new choice wins, pat yourself on the back, but if you don’t vote and she loses, you may be kicking yourself for the next four years.
