Removing books a form of indoctrination

On Saturday, Feb. 4, the article "Reynolds: If one school removes a book, all schools should" says that Kim Reynolds' reasoning is "to restore sanity, to make sure our schools are a place of learning and not indoctrination.“ How is removing books not indoctrination in and of itself?
I urge all parents/guardians to read what your students are reading. The whole book. This is your opportunity to discuss your beliefs with your children. Allow them to ask questions. Let them be curious. Explain your values in open and honest language, not just "this is bad … this is good." Where is the harm in that?
