Ashley Hinson’s website says she “has supported legislation that lowers prescription drug costs and puts a cap on the cost of insulin for seniors.” Really? Just this spring Ashley Hinson voted against a bill that would have put a cap of $35 on the cost of insulin under the Medicare prescription drug benefit.
Hinson’s website also says she is “fighting to deliver patient-centered health care with the choice and control people want.” But she voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021 which among other policies, establishes a statutory right for health care professionals to provide abortions.
Hinson’s website states “Ashley wants to make it easier for parents to work and raise their families comfortably.” But when a bill came before Congress to tighten federal laws against gender-based pay discrimination she voted against it. HR7 (Equal Pay for Women) had bipartisan support, but not Hinson’s.

According to her website “Ashley’s mission is to restore integrity to public service and clean up Washington.” She votes against bills to help Iowans and uses her social media for partisan name-calling and finger-pointing. Ashley Hinson needs to either correct her website or start voting to make these false claims true.
