Education plan makes governor’s intent clear

Gov. Reynolds and her compatriots in the Legislature have come up with a plan they say will improve both public and private schools. Briefly summarized the plan is reduce money available for one and increase funding for the other.

Perhaps I’m just slow but I don’t see how that will work. Seems to me to be just another bit of Republican fantasy. Similar to the ”tax cuts pay for themselves” Republican dogma.

The underlying fact here is that the vast majority of private schools in Iowa are Christian schools. I think the intent of their proposal clear.
