Barriers and gaps hamper voting

Recently, on KCRG.com, I saw two items side by side that caused me to shake my head and laugh. One described Gov. Kim Reynolds praising President Donald Trump as a man of action who saw barriers and gaps for American workers and found solutions. The other described Reynolds signing a law that would roll back Iowa secretary of state's ability to offer any registered voter in Iowa the opportunity to request an absentee ballot ahead of the November election.

This bill is in lock step with Trump's position that in effect opposes maximizing Americans' participation in our right to vote, especially in a time of serious virus concerns. It seems to me that Trump and Reynolds saw a voting participation solution in place and decided to put barriers and gaps in the way of Americans.

I would prefer our governor would distance herself from Trump's approach to holding onto power and his apparent mistrust of the American voter. I also wish I could tell what color the emperor's new clothes are, but I can't see ‘em.
