SPRINGVILLE — Autumn Pino, principal of the Roosevelt Creative Corridor Business Academy in Cedar Rapids, has been named the shared superintendent of the Lisbon and Springville community school districts.
Pino will succeed Superintendent Pat Hocking, who is retiring at the end of the school year. She will begin her new job July 1.

Pino has worked in the Cedar Rapids district for 11 years.
Cedar Rapids Superintendent Noreen Bush said in an email that Pino has led efforts “in social emotional support to students and innovative practices as a magnet school principal.”
“We greatly appreciate her dedication to our school district, and more importantly her support to the students and families at Roosevelt. ... We wish her well in her new leadership role and are happy to know that she will still be in our region serving children of Eastern Iowa.”
While Pino was principal at Roosevelt, the school received the 2020 National Merit Award of Distinction and the 2021 National Certification as a Demonstration School from the Magnet Schools of America.
Pino focuses on keeping students at the center of the learning process, according to a news release from the Springville school district. She has spearheaded community partnerships, engaged staff in professional development activities and used social media to share positive stories from the school.
“Ms. Pino has proved herself to be an innovative, forward-thinking and highly capable school leader throughout her more than 22-year career in education,” Lisbon school board president Jen Caspers said in the news release. “We are excited to see the new ideas she will bring to both of our districts moving forward.”
Springville school board president Kate O’Brien-May also noted Pino’s “wealth of experience.”
“We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our school district community.”
