Sept. 20-21, 2018: Thursday morning through midday Friday
Downtown Cedar Rapids: The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex
If you want to have a voice in shaping the future of Iowa, Iowa Ideas is for you. Building on the success of our inaugural conference, we'll convene another gathering exploring key issues, discovering solutions and connecting Iowans to state leaders.
During a day and a half of learning together, attendees will hear a variety of perspectives from Iowa and beyond, take in a keynote luncheon and have plenty of opportunities to network.
Eight key topic areas will be explored:
-
Agriculture
-
Education
-
Energy & Environment
-
Workforce
-
Health Care
-
Human & Social Services
-
Policy
-
Regional Development
Plus two special collaborations:
-
Diversity Forum, in partnership with the Employee Resource Group Consortium
-
Next Gen. Summit, in partnership with ImpactCR and EPIC
Attendees of our inaugural conference said they valued our solutions focus, multidisciplinary view and the chance to hear a variety of perspectives directly from state leaders:
"I was struck by the number of great topics, great presenters, great ideas and the opportunity to listen, learn and network. The Gazette is doing exactly what Iowa needs more of -- deep and wide attention to issues that need new ideas and new people carrying them forward." -- John, Ankeny |
"The conference felt very 'Iowan' in the best sense - it was awesome to network with others from outside your field of work and just get a chance to 'think bigger' for a couple days about what could be." -- Rachel, Cedar Rapids |
"The Gazette has recognized the need for community engagement around the issues and opportunities we share. To have a non-political, non-partisan forum for interacting around complex issues and problems we need to address is essential to sustainability.” -- Tom, Mount Vernon |
