Mount Vernon's Drew Adams commits to play football at Grand View

MOUNT VERNON — Prolific Mount Vernon senior quarterback Drew Adams announced Tuesday he has committed to play college football at Grand View University in Des Moines.
Adams holds 13 school passing records and set the state record for most career touchdown passes with 106. His 8,946 career passing yards ranks third all-time in Iowa, while his 601 career completions is fourth.

He helped Mount Vernon to four consecutive state playoff appearances, including a loss in the finals in 2015. Adams threw for 387 yards and six touchdowns in that game.
Grand View is a NAIA school. The Vikings went 9-3 this past season, losing in the first round of the NAIA playoffs.
