Jackson Joens led Xavier (4-1) with 29 points, including four 3-pointers, and seven rebounds. Matthew Mims added 26 points, including 10 of 14 at the foul line, and nine assists.
Kyler Bell led Jefferson (1-4) with 25 points.
4A No. 3 Dubuque Senior 64, Iowa City High 62
The Little Hawks gave the third-ranked Rams a run, but couldn't complete the upset in Dubuque.
Antonio Turner and Jeremy Kambomba led City High (1-3) with 17 points each.
Sam Link led Senior (4-0) with 17 points.
Easton Valley 96, Cedar Valley Christian 22
The pace was too much for Cedar Valley Christian in Miles.
Easton Valley (5-1) led 54-13 at the half.
Kyle Gustafson had 14 points for CVC (1-5).

The Regals improved to 5-0 in West Branch.

The Indians got 13 points from Matthew Brase and 12 from Chase Zielke in Marion.

Linn-Mar 83, 4A No. 6 Cedar Rapids Prairie 67
Trey dominated this game. Scratch that. Make that the trey.
The Linn-Mar Lions went the distance Friday night, putting up a shooting display among the best in school history and riding it to an uber-impressive 83-67 boys' basketball win over Cedar Rapids Prairie.
It seemed like everything from 3-point range was going in for Linn-Mar (4-1). Almost everything did.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy 60, Cedar Rapids Washington 54
Just when it seemed as if Washington was all the way back, the Cougars always had an answer.
Kennedy sophomore forward Jack Wetzel scored a season-high 25 points, while senior guard Derrick Diggins added 17 as the Cougars held off Washington, 60-54, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys' basketball game Friday night at Kennedy High School.

5A No. 3 Iowa City West 69, Waterloo East 36
The third-ranked Women of Troy bounced back from back-to-back losses with a big win in Waterloo.
Five players scored in double figures for West (5-2), led by Audrey Koch with 13 points.
4A No. 11 Cedar Rapids Xavier 52, Cedar Rapids Jefferson 48
The Saints won the fourth quarter, 20-14, to rally past the J-Hawks at Xavier High School.
Emily Jasper had 14 points and Libby Arnold added 13 points for Xavier (6-3).
Erica Oler had 21 points and 18 rebounds to lead Jefferson (3-6). Kaylee Donner had 10 assists and Lindsey Culver added 12 points.
5A No. 1 Iowa City High 79, Dubuque Senior 31
The Little Hawks took their No. 1 ranking out for a cruise, and won big in Iowa City.
Ashley Joens had 27 points, Rose Nkumu scored 15 points and Paige Rocca added 11 points for Iowa City High (6-0).
Alli Udelhofen scored 13 points for Senior (3-5).
2A No. 6 Iowa City Regina 53, West Branch 36
The Regals led by just three points at halftime in West Branch, but won the second half, 26-12.
Alex Wiese scored 15 points for Regina (6-2).
Tatum Koenig led West Branch (3-4) with 18 points.

Cedar Valley Christian had three players in double-figures in Miles.
Elizabeth Fields led CVC (5-2) with 19 points, followed by Molly Hembera with 16 and Abby Scroggs with 14.

What the Warriors may lack in size, they more than make up in speedy, versatile scorers.
Senior Vanessa Eniola scored a season-high 24 points, while junior Sammy Mia added 20 as the Warriors defeated Kennedy, 64-55, in a non-conference girls' basketball game Friday night at Kennedy High School.

5A No. 13 Cedar Rapids Prairie 63, Linn-Mar 27
Josh Bentley was asked if he was more pleased with his offense or defense Friday night. The Cedar Rapids Prairie girls' basketball coach easily could have picked either.
Yet he went an entirely different direction.
'I was happy with our energy,' Bentley said, following his team's 63-27 win over Linn-Mar.
