Cedar Rapids Prairie, Solon and Lisbon among regional dual hosts

The Iowa High School Athletic Association released the sites for regional duals Wednesday.

Cedar Rapids Prairie and Western Dubuque will host Class 3A regional duals on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The eighth-ranked Hawks have a semifinal bye and will face the winner of No. 9 Johnston and No. 24 Mount Pleasant.

The sixth-ranked Bobcats will take on the winner of No. 10 Dubuque Hempstead and No. 23 Bettendorf for a State Duals berth.

Iowa City High, ranked 13th, will wrestle No. 20 Cedar Rapids Kennedy in a regional dual semifinal at Waverly. The winner advances to a final against fifth-ranked Waverly-Shell Rock.

Linn-Mar wrestles Clinton in the semifinal at Eldridge. The winner faces third-ranked North Scott.

Iowa City West heads to second-ranked West Des Moines Valley, competing against Ankeny Centennial in the semifinal.

In 2A, New Hampton, Solon and Washington (Iowa) will host regional dual sites.

Don Bosco, Lisbon and Sigourney host 1A regional duals.

Pairings for 1A and 2A will not be determined until after sectional competition Saturday, Feb. 4. Sectional team champions and runners-up qualify for the regional duals.

State Duals is set for Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
