Iowa colleges — Senior H-back Kyle Gritsch of Brooklyn (BGM) earned NCAA III All-American academic honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America as a member of the Central football team. Gritsch has a 3.44 GPA in exercise science and finished the season with 39 receptions for 576 yards.
Sydney Schroder (City High) and Jenna Lehman (Regina) of Iowa City, Jordan Holmes (Kennedy) and Aleena Hobbs (Washington) of Cedar Rapids, Taylor Huber of Alburnett and Cassie Norton of Lisbon are members of the Coe women's basketball team.
Anne Visser and Kandis O'Donnell of Cedar Rapids (Washington) are members of the Cornell women's basketball team.
