Twisters gymnasts take gold in Iowa, Mexico

Reese Wendling, Jade Wery, Sarah Beatty and Ava Gladden of Twisters Gymnastics all were double winners at the Games in Ames hosted by Success Gymnastics at Sports Iowa last weekend.

Wendling won the bars and all around and Wrey the vault and beam in Xcel Gold. Beatty won the bars and all around and Gladden the vault and all around in Xcel Platinum.

Jordyn Velitchkov (bars) and Gracey Feight (floor exercise) took home gold in Xcel Silver. Marina Kellison won the bars in Xcel Platinum and Sydney Luckey the vault in Xcel Diamond.

Placewinners were Myla Loveless and Erica Marek in Xcel Gold; Reagan Furler, Anna Tiedeman, Mia Ceretti amd Riley Schaldecker in Xcel Platinum; and Jayme Brown and Natalie Osterberg in Xcel Diamond.

Earlier this month, Wendling (all around), Wery (vault), Addison Taylor (beam) and Payton Ritze (vault) won gold at the 2023 Cancun Invitational hosted by Sterling Gymnastics at the Moon Palace Arena.

The Xcel Silver and Gold teams finished second.

Loveless was a placewinner.

Twisters winners at their own Blizzard Beach Invitational last month were Corrigan Cook (bars, all around), Landyn Mitchell (beam), Clara Atty (floor) and Piper Ross (vault) 1st vault in Level 2, and Delaney Busch (floor, all around) and Charlotte Harris (bars, beam) in Level 3.

Xcel winners were Drea Delecky (vault, beam, all around), Ava Northrup (beam, all around), Zoey Schwendinger (beam), Chesney Claeys (vault), Harper Dumolien (beam), Vivien Geater (vault), Lillian Johanson (beam, floor, all around), Hadley Backen (vault) and Hailey Stocker (floor) in Bronze; and Ritze (vault), Jocelyn Kinne (bars), Eloise Boyer (all around), Feight (vault, all around), Finnley Wheelan (floor), Emily Heeren (vault), AnnaMae George (bars), Aubrey Peters (floor), Connor Wingert (vault, bars) and Amelie Kholgade (vault, bars, all around) in Silver.

Gold winners were Wendling (vault, beam, floor, all around), Lila Cue (beam), Emma Everson (bars), Wery (vault), Eva Hayes (bars), Olivia Brecht (vault, all around) and Rylie Bartlett (bars); and Platinum gold were won by Furler (all around), Beatty (bars), Gadden (floor), Regan Bahl (bars) and Marina Kellison (vault, bars).

The Diamond team was led by winners Reyata Ortiz (bars, floor, all around), Brianna Pierce (vault, beam), Sydney Luckey (vault, beam), and Allison Dvorak (floor),

The Bronze, Platinum and Diamond teams took first place.

MOSER GOLDEN AT 2 MEETS

Thirty-nine members of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic won gold at the USTA Power Tumbling meet in Dubuque last month.

Moser winners were Izzy Lutgen, Ella Digmann, Sophia Geistkemper, Autumn Domeyer, Avery Brown, Addison Norton, Mallory McElmeel, Miya Pitz, Mya Reittinger, Myra Peyton, Delaney Brown, Paisley Hansel, Sutton Smith, Emi Harmon, Paige Vaske, Mackenna Fisher, Imogen Milroy, Anna Vaske, Sara Petsche, Lily McCarthy, Lucas Sadewasser, Lucy Scherbring, Gracen Hein, Lexi Martin, Luke Wulfekuhle, Zane Glawatz, Gunner Davis, Vanessa Petsche, Olivia Weston, Hadley Amfahr, Olivia Pasker, Ellie Lechtenberg, Lennox Miller, Amaya Pottebaum, Parker Pitz, Fallyn DeShaw, Delaine Holt, Kylie Martin and Jolie Weston.

Gabbi Funke, Asanti Britton, Hayden Reimer, Aaliyah Corcoran, Mylie Elliot, Carly McDonald, Laura Pierschbacher, Lennox Moser, Allysa Sadewasser, Amelia Miller, Jenna Yest, Claire Manning, Rachel Kaufman, Mattie Johnson, Jada Honkomp, Kendall Friedlein, Bo McCarthy, James Hofland, Greyson Manning, Mallory Steffen, Ana'Leah Raber, Kinleigh Smock, Amelia Tobiason, Vivian Honkomp, Grace Cornwell, Eliza Reicher and Margaret Reicher all placed second.

Sienna Steffensmeier was third, along with Olivia Schindler, Julia Kuennen, Elyse Konrardy, Morie Johnson, Payton Morrow, McKinlee Connolly, Katie Lueck, Aubrey Oakland, Jeffrey Breier, Brynlee DeShaw, Elizabeth Hilliard, Grace Pederson, Emery Reed, Isabella Krieg, Ky'Lynn Raber, Cora Fuessley, Aurora Opitz, Maxwell Bockenstedt and Faye Honkomp.

Tucker Erickson, Avery Brown, Amelia Miller, Ahnalynn Rave, Hadlee Erickson, Olivia Pasker, Aurora Opitz, Kora Dimiqueo, Kylie Martin and Maxwell Bockenstedt won titles at the meet in Boone earlier this month.

Annie Gulick, Hannabelle Erickson, Mylie Elliot, Laura Pierschbacher, Katie Lueck, Lexi Martin, Brynlee DeShaw, Isabella Krieg, Ellie Lechtenberg and Lennox Miller all won silver, and Ava Nolan and Rachel Kaufman finished third.
