IOWA CITY — Former Ohio State walk-on wide receiver Austin Kutscher has transferred to Iowa, according to the team’s updated 2023 football roster.
Kutscher will be a walk-on at Iowa, according to On3 Sports.
The 6-foot graduate transfer appeared in two games in 2019, one game in 2020 and three games in 2021, but did not record any stats.

Kutscher is from Massillon, Ohio, which is about 50 miles south of Cleveland. He did not receive a rating from any of the major recruiting websites.
Iowa now has 12 wide receivers on the spring 2023 roster, five of which are on scholarship.
Early enrollees
Two early enrolling freshmen are listed on the spring 2023 roster — running back Terrell Washington Jr. and defensive back Watts McBride.
Washington, who hails from Wylie, Texas, originally committed to Purdue, but Jeff Brohm’s departure to be head coach at Louisville prompted the 5-foot-11 running back to reopen his recruitment. McBride is a walk-on from Cedar Rapids Washington.
Iowa’s transfer portal commitments and junior college transfers also are on the spring 2023 roster.
Son of former Iowa QB commits as preferred walk-on
Tommy Poholsky, the son of former Iowa quarterback Tom Poholsky, committed to Iowa on Saturday as a preferred walk-on.
Poholsky, a 6-foot-2 quarterback from Evergreen, Colo., will be part of the 2023 recruiting class. He was in attendance for Iowa’s Oct. 1 game against Michigan last year.
“Most importantly I am thankful for my dad being the person who sparked not only my love for Iowa, but my love for football,” Poholsky said of his father, who died suddenly in 2021, on social media as he announced his decision. “I know he would be so proud and excited to see where I am today.”
