Big Ten releases revised 2023 football schedule
Iowa to open conference play next year at Penn State

Iowa football’s 2023 calendar is set after the Big Ten released an updated 2023 football schedule Wednesday.
The Hawkeyes will open Big Ten play next year at Penn State before playing three of their next four games at home.
Iowa’s bye week will be Oct. 28. After that, Iowa will play Northwestern, Rutgers, Illinois and Nebraska.

The 2023 season will mark the final year of the Big Ten’s seven-team East and West divisions in their current configuration before USC and UCLA join the conference.
Iowa’s 2023 nonconference games are against Utah State, Iowa State and Western Michigan. Utah State and Western Michigan are at home, and Iowa State is on the road.
Penn State and Illinois are the only 2023 opponents ranked in the most recent Associated Press Poll.

Oct. 7: vs. Purdue
Oct. 14: at Wisconsin
Oct. 21: vs. Minnesota
Oct. 28: BYE
Nov. 4: at Northwestern
Nov. 11: vs. Rutgers
Nov. 18: vs. Illinois
Nov. 25: at Nebraska
