Keegan Murray had an early-career career night Friday for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.
The rookie forward from Iowa had career-highs of 29 points and 14 rebounds in his team’s 118-113 home win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Murray was 10-of-12 from the field, and sank five of his seven 3-point attempts.
Murray became the first Kings rookie with at least 29 points and 14 rebounds in a game since Lionel Simmons did it in 1991.

Murray made his 100th 3-pointer of the season during the game, tying him with Dallas’ Luka Doncic as the NBA players who got to 100 3s the fastest, in 42 games. Lauri Markkanen did it in 41 games for Chicago four seasons ago.
Doncic and Markkanen had 103 3s in their first 42 games. Murray has 102, in 246 tries for 41.5 percent.
Murray has two straight double-doubles. He is averaging 12.1 points.
Sacramento has won six straight games. At 26-18, the Kings lead the Pacific Division by four games and are in third place in the Western Conference. They are trying to end a streak of 16 consecutive losing seasons.
