I want to thank all those that helped my mother and me on our journey, including Dr. Bolye/Mercy Hospital (5th floor Shelly) and Hospice.

My mom said one day, “I’m dying,” and I said “yes” but didn’t go further. I wish I had asked how she knew (because I didn’t). So when the gates opened and God came and asked her to go see her mom, she went.

There was a song playing on the radio at this time, maybe a month before (“Bye Mom” by Chris Janson), and I would cry when I heard it! Now as I think back, my mom and God and Chris were giving me a sign which I ignored. So finally it’s going to be a year. I still cry and I still want to scream out loud (I have not).

But Mom, I love you! Rob, Michael and family, Julie and Tim miss you also.
