On Sept. 28, singer Maria Muldaur released her 41st album, “Don’t You Feel My Leg: The Naughty Bawdy Blues of Blue Lu Barker.” The album is a tribute to the popular vocalist and songwriter who made her mark in the 1930s and ’40s, and whom Billie Holiday once called her biggest influence. The recording brings Muldaur full circle from the 1973 sessions that not only spawned her million-selling hit, “Midnight at the Oasis,” but also featured a sassy take on Barker’s “Don’t You Feel My Leg” — a cult favorite that remains Muldaur’s most requested number.
