Straight from “Saturday Night Live,” actor, writer, standup, sketch and improv performer Chris Redd will be live in Cedar Rapids this weekend. A featured player for SNL’s 43rd season, he also stars opposite Andy Samberg in “Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping,” produced by Judd Apatow. He’ll play opposite Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell in “The House”; the Netflix film “A Futile and Stupid Gesture,” opposite Will Forte; and he has the lead role in the independent comedy “Fat Camp.” Originally from Chicago, Redd was a frequent performer at Second City and other area clubs.
