With eligible breeds ranging from Abyssinian to Turkish Van, kitties galore will be competing in eight rings at the Midlands Cat Fanciers and Midwest Region Fundraiser this weekend. In addition to judging, the event also includes cat-related vendors, cat agility, and food. Representatives from Paws and More Animal Shelter in Washington, Iowa, also will be on hand. The Cat Fanciers’ mission is to preserve and promote the pedigreed breeds of cats and to enhance the well-being of all cats. The Midwest Region includes 10 states and a corner of Canada.
