Since band co-founders Mike Love and Brian Wilson penned the lyrics to “Surfin’” in 1961, dozens of chart-toppers have followed, including “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.” The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band also received Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
The Cedar Rapids lineup features lead singer Love and longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill (of The Cowsills band), Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago — but not Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
