After one of the more-spectacular performances by an Iowa punter in this millennium, Tory Taylor shares this week’s Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honor with a fellow native of Melbourne, Australia.
Taylor and Rutgers punter Adam Korsak were the co-honorees, and it’s easy to see why neither was chosen above the other.
Korsak, a senior, averaged 52.2 yards for his six punts in Rutgers’ 17-7 win at Syracuse Saturday. He pinned five of those kicks inside the 20 and had four of 50-plus yards. He had a 69-yarder.

Taylor, a sophomore, averaged 51.1 yards for eight punts in the Hawkeyes’ 27-17 triumph at Iowa State with four punts of 50-plus yards. He five punts inside the 20 and four inside the 10.
