Iowa recruiting buzz: Nearing halfway point in NCAA’s evaluation period, Hawkeyes offer more prospects
Iowa among first Power Five schools to offer Bryson Vowell, Jaquez Keyes

With the NCAA’s April/May recruiting evaluation period almost to the halfway point, Iowa’s football staff has been crisscrossing its recruiting territory to use its allotted 160 evaluation opportunities.
Here’s who received offers with the coaching staff on the road:
Offers
George Burhenn, a 6-foot-5 tight end in the 2023 class from Mount Vernon, Ind., received an offer from the Hawkeyes on Tuesday. Burhenn already has offers from Iowa State, Army, Nevada, Air Force and Ohio.

Rivals has not yet given him a star rating, but 247Sports considers him a three-star prospect.
Bryson Vowell, a 6-4 wide receiver from Clinton, Tenn., received his first Power Five offer from the Hawkeyes on Tuesday. The 2023 prospect, who is not yet rated by 247Sports or Rivals, is having a busy week. Memphis offered him Monday, which was his first Division I offer.
Class of 2024 athlete Aneyas Williams picked up an offer from Iowa over the weekend. The 5-10 prospect from Hannibal, Mo., also has offers from Oregon, California, Boston College and Nebraska. He is a three-star prospect according to Rivals and four-star prospect according to 247Sports.
Class of 2023 running back Jaquez Keyes, a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and a four-star prospect according to Rivals, earned an offer from the Hawkeyes on April 27.
Wisconsin is the only other Power Five school to offer the prospect from Ironton, Ohio, but Tennessee, West Virginia and Iowa State are among schools to express interest.
