Here are the latest football recruits to either receive Iowa offers or make a decision:
Committed
David Caulker, a three-star 2023 defensive end from Des Moines North, earned an offer after participating in Iowa’s recruiting camp and committed right away to the Hawkeyes.
The 6-foot-4 prospect is 10th among in-state prospects in 247Sports’ rankings. He is the third defensive lineman from the 2023 class to pick Iowa.
Committed elsewhere
Class of 2023 offensive lineman Joe Otting chose Notre Dame over Iowa and Kansas State on Tuesday. The 6-4 three-star prospect received an offer from the Hawkeyes in April.
In-state 2023 standout Kai Black picked Iowa State over Iowa and others Wednesday. The three-star receiver from Urbandale is the seventh-best Iowan in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. Black’s commitment to the Cyclones comes a couple days before his upcoming official visit to Ames.
Jonas Duclona, a three-star 2023 cornerback from Naples, Fla., committed to Cincinnati. He picked the Bearcats over Iowa, Florida, Mississippi State, Iowa State, Louisville and others.
Decision scheduled
Class of 2023 cornerback Bo Mascoe plans to announce his college decision July 22, he said in a tweet over the weekend.
Mascoe, who has a three-star rating from 247Sports but no rating from Rivals, received an offer from Iowa in May and has an official visit scheduled later this month.
Offers
Class of 2024 quarterback James Resar received an offer from the Hawkeyes on Wednesday. The Jacksonville, Fla., prospect doesn’t have a rating from 247Sports or Rivals yet, but Indiana, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech have offered him. He went to the same high school as Iowa offensive lineman Michael Myslinski.
Hayden Moore, a 2023 linebacker with a three-star rating from 247Sports, earned an offer from the Hawkeyes on Wednesday. Moore also has offers from Michigan, UCLA, Nebraska, Colorado and others.
Donovan Olugbode, a wide receiver in the 2025 class from the Chicago suburbs, received an offer from Iowa over the weekend. The Hawkeyes were the first school to offer the 6-2 wideout.
Fellow 2025 wide receiver Talyn Taylor also received his first Division I offer from Iowa last weekend. The Geneva, Ill., prospect then received an offer from Minnesota on Tuesday.
Other notes
- Class of 2023 wide receiver Judah Mallette announced an offer from the Hawkeyes, but 247Sports and Rivals reported it is only a preferred walk-on offer and not a full scholarship offer.
- Fellow 2023 wide receiver Griffin Wilde also received a preferred walk-on offer from the Hawkeyes.
