How to watch Luka Garza, Joe Wieskamp in NBA summer leagues
Wieskamp’s Spurs play Tuesday

Basketball in August? Why not? The games are indoors, in air-conditioned arenas.
The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, a place for last week’s draft picks to play with and against other rookies, younger players, and lower-level free agents looking to impress to NBA and overseas teams, starts this week.
Before that, two smaller sessions of games will be played in Sacramento and Salt Lake City. The San Antonio Spurs, the new team of Iowa’s Joe Wieskamp, plays three games in Utah starting Tuesday before commencing in Vegas next week.

Luka Garza’s Detroit Pistons begin Vegas play next Sunday.
So here is a list of all their scheduled games and the TV/times. If you don’t have NBA TV, you aren’t alone. I don’t. Nor do I have the MLB Network, Hulu, Apple TV, YouTube TV, and many other streaming dealies.
I’m watching “The Wire” and “Homeland” for the first time, and I don’t binge-watch. Which means I began last summer, and am in the homestretch for both.
“The Wire” is everything I was told it was, by the way. I don’t know how I missed it when it was new.
Anyway, here’s the schedule, with all times Central:
Salt Lake City
Tuesday: San Antonio vs. Utah Jazz White, 8 p.m., NBA TV
Wednesday: San Antonio vs. Utah Jazz Blue, 6 p.m., NBA TV
Friday: San Antonio vs. Memphis, 6 p.m., ESPNU
Las Vegas
Aug. 8: Detroit vs. Oklahoma City, 7:30 p.m., ESPN2
Aug. 9: San Antonio vs. Minnesota, 6 p.m.
Aug. 10: San Antonio vs. Chicago, 7 p.m., NBA TV; Detroit vs. Houston, 8 p.m., ESPN
Aug. 12: San Antonio vs. Charlotte, 2 p.m., ESPNU
Aug. 13: Detroit vs. New York, 7 p.m., NBA TV
Aug. 14: Detroit vs. L.A. Lakers, 9 p.m., ESPN2
Aug. 15: San Antonio vs. Brooklyn, 5 p.m., NBA TV
The Pistons have No. 1 draft choice Cade Cunningham. The No. 2 pick was Houston taking Jalen Green, hence the Pistons-Rockets playing on ESPN Aug. 10.
