A group of northeast Iowa Democrats will host a virtual speakers’ panel on reproductive freedom in the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned a constitutional right to access an abortion.

Panelists include Iowa House Democratic Leader Jennifer Konfrst, D-Windsor Heights; Iowa House Minority Whip Lindsey James, D-Dubuque, and Luana Nelson-Brown, MSPH executive director of Iowa Coalition for Collective Change.
Advance registration is required at heartofiowadems.com/register.
“Everyone deserves the right to make their own health care decisions, especially when it comes to reproductive care and abortion,” according to a Heart of Iowa Dems news release. “While the ruling is tough and it might feel hopeless, we are fighting back. Find out where things stand in Iowa today and what you can do right now. We can’t let them take away any more of our rights.”
