Cookie Staycation returns to The Hotel at Kirkwood Center

CEDAR RAPIDS — If you want a taste of a holiday vacation but can’t make the trip out of town, The Hotel at Kirkwood Center may have the right package for you to treat yourself.

The Hotel’s new Cookie Staycation, available for overnight stays on Dec. 9 and 10, pairs a holiday cookie theme with a winter vacation right at home.

Each Cookie Staycation includes an overnight stay in “luxurious accommodations,” a morning continental breakfast, and a treat-baking and cookie-decorating session for two in the Kirkwood Center’s kitchens.

The overnight stay package runs $249, but the experience will give each guest eight dozen treats — 96 for each person — to take home. Reservations can be made by calling (319) 848-8700 or online at thehotelatkirkwood.com.
