The North Liberty Fire Department responded to a fire at Tin Roost in North Liberty early Tuesday morning.
The restaurant will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a Facebook post on Tuesday.
“The fire happened around 2:30 in the morning, and we're beyond thankful that all of our staff had left for the evening and no guests were in the restaurant,” the post said. “Equipment is easily replaceable, but a team member or member of our community is not.”

The North Liberty Fire Department received a call at 2:16 a.m. about smoke coming from the building, according to a news release from the fire department.
Fire crews found the fire in the kitchen and were able to put it out with a hose. Crews were at the building for nearly two hours, the news release said.
Firefighters from Coralville and Solon, North Liberty police, Johnson County sheriff’s officers and Johnson County emergency services also were on the scene.
North Liberty Fire Chief Brian Platz said Tuesday afternoon the department still is investigating the cause. Tin Roost could not be reached for comment.
Tin Roost opened in 2017 and serves Southern comfort food and American fare. The restaurant said on Facebook it would continue to post updates on its reopening plans.
