Bankruptcy petitions

This database contains the names of those who have had bankruptcy petitions discharged in the Cedar Rapids Division of U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The database currently contains bankruptcies discharged since Aug. 1, 2007. Records are updated on a monthly basis.

The database can be searched by name, county where applicant lives or by date. In order to get the best search results when searching by name, enter a last name or the first couple letters of the first name. (For example, if you were looking for Joseph Smith, it would be best to type Jo Smith into the name field because you don't know whether a full or partial name was entered.)

In the results page, additional details can be found by clicking on the case number.

Aliases are included with the names. Common abbreviations are as follows: aka (also known as); fka (formerly known as); dba (doing business as); fdba (formerly doing business as).
