Rookie from Iowa State was brilliant in San Francisco’s 35-7 win over Tampa Bay Sunday

Words almost failed most people after rookie quarterback Brock Purdy of Iowa State passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in the San Francisco 49ers’ 35-7 pasting of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday.

Making his first NFL start, Purdy completed 16 of 21 passes for 185 yards. That makes him 41-of-58 for four TDs and 395 yards in two games, both wins.
